Ubil Samaniego Obituary

Ubil Lara Samaniego, Jr. Our beloved Husband, Father, and Grandfather better known as “Billy” was called to be with the Lord November 29, 2024, at the age of 62. He was born May 11,1962 in San Angelo Tx to Ubil E Samaniego and Maria Angela Lara Samaniego. It is with a broken heart that we have to lay our dad to rest. He was a Loving Husband to our mom Maria Ernestina Samaniego for 45 years. A great father to 8 children. Rudy Samaniego, Bobbie Jo Luera (Joe), Crystal Lee Samaniego, Belinda Ashley Samaniego, Billy Gonzales Samaniego III (Daisy) , Vanessa Marie Samaniego, Sabrina Lynn Samaniego and Rebecca Samaniego, and an even more wonderful grandpa to 40 grandchildren and great grandchildren who all loved him dearly. He loved all of his children and had a special bond with each of them, he truly enjoyed being a father and was the best dad anyone could ask for. He was the biggest Dallas Cowboys fan win or lose, he was devoted to his team. You could often find him cheering or yelling at the tv, growing up we shared the love for his team and became fans ourselves DC4L!!!. He worked at many places in his lifetime including The Fina Service Station, Credit World and Aarons. No matter where he went our dad knew everyone and Everyone knew our daddy. He always had a smile on his face and made you smile with his funny crazy jokes. One of many things, he loved to do is play pool and he was sure good at it. No one could ever beat him. Unless he let you and you would know when he did. He also loved playing washers and played it almost every day. His presence was like no other, if you knew him then you know exactly what I’m talking about. No matter where he went he always had his Diet Coke. One of his pride and joys was his Red Truck, you knew it was our daddy because he had the American flag on one side and Dallas Cowboys flag on the other. Don’t worry Dad your truck is in good hands with mom and your kids. We will make sure she continues to Shine! He was loved by so many and will truly be missed by all. Including all his family, His Brothers Jesse Samaniego and David Samaniego (Linda), his nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He had a big family and touched so many hearts too many to list. Also many childhood friends that will never forget Our daddy or as they called him (Nune). One thing about our dad is that he had a nickname for every one of us. So if he gave you a nickname you must have been special. This world is going to truly miss out on having our daddy, but I know he will be welcomed by family with open arms in heaven.

He Is now reunited with both his parents Ubil E. Samaniego Sr. and Maria Angela Lara Samaniego, Grandparents Juanita Enriquez and Estevan Berna Samaniego, his sister Mary S. Trevino (Chacha), Son Rudy Samaniego and beloved granddaughter Greenlee Montanez. I know he is already giving hugs and making everyone smile in heaven. They are truly lucky as he is a very special Angel.

We love you Dad and we are all going to miss you more than you may know.  Don’t worry we will all take care of Momma for you. Today, tomorrow you will continue to be here in all our hearts and memories.

Till we meet again Daddy.

  “GO COWBOYS “

Love Always your Wife and Samaniego kids.

The family is having a Dallas Cowboys theme viewing Friday December 6th

A heart of gold stopped beating / Working hands at rest / God broke our hearts to prove to us / He only takes the best / Leaves and flowers may wither / The golden sun may set / But the hearts that loved you dearly / Are the ones that won't forget.

Goodbye is not forever. Goodbye is not the end. It simply means I'll miss you until we meet again.

I did not see you close your eyes or hear your last sigh. I only heard that you were gone, too late to say goodbye. You were gone before we knew it and only God knows why.
