Warren W. Heywood, 67, of San Angelo, Texas was known as a devoted husband, father, and friend, a steady and deeply valued presence, is now held in memory.
The life of Warren, a proud United States Air Force veteran, was one defined by service, intellect, and a deep devotion to those he loved. As a linguist and later a military contractor, he carried his commitment to country with quiet strength. Outside of his work, he found joy in fishing, cooking, and gathering with family, who remained at the center of his world. Known to many as a true “foodie,” he will be remembered for love for food.
Warren is survived by his loving wife, Diane M Heywood of San Angelo, Texas; his daughter, Cara Segura of Springtown, Texas; his son, Sean Heywood of San Angelo, Texas. He is also survived by his mother, Irene Heywood of Millsboro, Delaware, his sisters, Kathleen Clemens (Dennis) of Millsboro, Delaware and Irene Heywood of Millsboro, Delaware. He was preceded by his father Warren Heywood of Whitehall, Pennsylvania and his brother, Michael Heywood of Arizona.
Warren was deeply proud of his service in the United States Air Force and his continued contributions as an Air Force civilian. His greatest joy in life was his family. He will be remembered for his love of cooking, his enjoyment of conversation, and the humor he brought to others through his playful puns.
Warren’s care and arrangements have been entrusted to Gutierrez Funeral Chapels / North, with no formal services scheduled at this time.
